Calisthenics is uniquely Australian and promotes team work, self confidence and friendship. Team members develop an appreciation for music, dance, acting, strength, flexibility and performance skills. People of all ages enjoy this wonderful sport and thrive on the variety of challenges offered.
Calisthenics involves a team of participants learning routines choreographed to music and presenting these routines on stage at competitions and concerts.
These items include elements of gymnastics, modified ballet, dance, clubs, rods manipulation, marching, singing and acting.
The Tinies learn 4 routines, including a Freearm, Rods, Character and Song and Action. We also like to introduce some Marching and Aesthetics in this class.
The Sub—Juniors learn five routines including, Clubs, Freearm, Rods, Aesthetics and Revue.
Juniors, Inters and Seniors learn six routines including March, Clubs, Freearm, Rods, Aesthetics and Revue.
Established in 2010, Sabelle Calisthenics located in Bendigo, is a not for profit club which is operated by Taneka & Jessika Ruschmeyer. The Ruschmeyer family has been involved in Calisthenics for over 25 years and strives on making Sabelle Calisthenics a Family Friendly successful club that we are known to be.
Our friendly and dedicated coaches are fully qualified level one coaches and are registered members of the ACF and VCCA, have a current first aid and working with children’s and are continually updating their skills.
The club focuses on pupil enjoyment as well as learning new skills, encouraging, friendship, good sportsmanship, respect, self confidence and most importantly fun amongst our students.
